Dr.Henri Sitorus Dr. Henri Sitorus has strong expertise in environmental sociology, social forestry, climate changes and food security. He has strong expertise in socio-ecological research. Currently engage in consultant advising community conservation programme and climate changes response. He has strong expertise in climate changes, disaster resiliency and research. He has been involved as team leader for various research on sustainability including served as Research Manager for Indonesia Green Prosperity Project Evaluation. Recently, engaged as team leader for a research on energy use in the context of disaster in collaboration with University of Loghborough (UK) and Resilient Development Institute. He engaged with research on food security in rural Indonesia recently. He completed his PhD in Environmental Sociology from the Australian National University (2015) and completed his Msc. in Poverty Reduction and Development Management from the University of Birmingham in 2000. He affiliates as researcher/lecturer at Postgraduate Program of Environmental Studies and Sociology at Universitas Sumatera Utara, Research Advisor at SDG Center Universitas Lampung, and is a lecturer and mentor for CIPPS (Co-Design for Inclusive Public Space and Services).
Prof. Dr. Rizabuana Professor Rizabuana is a researcher at Department of Sociology, University of North Sumatra. His research interests are on social changes and palm oil, political sociology, community empowerment and corporate social responsibility.
Dr. Muba Simanihuruk Has Doctoral Degree in Sociology. His research interest is on poverty, rural development, socio-economic impact of tourism, ethnic studies and democracy. Dr. Muh. Ulil Absor Dr. Ulil is a Senior Lecturer/Researcher at Master of Social Work at Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. He eanred Master of Social Research, specializing on Social Development and Policy at the Australian National University (2014) PhD Program at School of Demography, the Australian National University (graduated 2021). His research interest is on social research, social development, social works, social policy, demography, labour and industrial relations.
Siti Enniyatul Uyun Siti Eniyatul Uyun, M.E, is a researcher and academic specializing in Socio Economics, with extensive research experience in East Java. Holding a Master's degree from Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Surabaya, she has contributed to numerous studies through institutions like Trunojoyo University of Madura's Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) and PT Sinergi Research and Community Transformation. Her research encompasses diverse topics, including child work, economic development, community welfare, and Sharia-based systems. Active in both academia and organizational leadership, she has worked as a lecturer and held pivotal roles in student and professional organizations, highlighting her commitment to advancing education and research in the region.
Muhammad Adi Mohammad Adi is a social researcher with a Master’s degree in Sociology from Universitas Airlangga and a Bachelor's from Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. He has extensive experience in field-based social research, with a strong focus on rural communities, labor issues, and religious-based education systems in Madura. Adi has worked with various research institutions, including the Madura Idea Foundation, and has been involved in studies on the conditions of tobacco workers in Indonesia, addressing labor vulnerabilities and social inclusion. His expertise spans survey coordination, social mapping, and community empowerment. In addition to his research work, he has a background in teaching at Islamic boarding schools and has held leadership roles in several student and civil society organizations.
Dana Tarigan Dana Prima Tarigan is an environmental sustainability expert with a background in natural resource and environmental management. He holds a Master's degree from the Graduate School of Universitas Sumatera Utara and has over 15 years of experience in advocacy, community empowerment, and ecological governance. Dana has served in key leadership roles, including Executive Director of WALHI North Sumatra and currently as Executive Director of Green Justice Indonesia. He has led numerous research and consultancy projects on forest conservation, mercury reduction, indigenous forest governance, and environmental conflict mapping, working with partners such as The Asia Foundation, ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, Nexus3 Foundation, and FC Foundation. He is also a co-founder of Green Justice Indonesia and coordinator of the Batangtoru Ecosystem Alliance, actively promoting community-based and rights-based approaches to environmental protection in Indonesia.
Dr.Unang Mulkhan Dr. Unang Mulkhan received his PhD in Business Ethics on ‘exploring ethical issues in the Indonesian Mining Industry’ from the University of Stirling, Scotland in the UK. He holds an MBA in Corporate Strategy and Economic Policy from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands with his Master Thesis on “Corporate Sustainability Reporting: A Content Analysis of CSR Reporting in Indonesia and the Netherlands”. He also received a post-graduate diploma in Sustainable Local Economic Development from Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), Erasmus University Rotterdam. He has deep knowledge in the area of business and human rights, sustainable development and climate change by involving in several projects such as UN SDGs Diagnostic Acceleration with UNDP in 2022, localizing human rights in the context of SDGs and human rights cities with Raoul Wallenberg Institute (RWI) Sweden and United Cities and Local Governments Asia Pacific (UCLG ASPAC) from 2020 to 2021. He joined a project on green growth in Vietnam supported by CSEAS Kyoto University in Japan. Dr Mulkhan also helps train organizations on fundamental business and human rights principles and recently assisted a series of training and one-on-one Business and Human Rights (BHR) Academy hosted by the UN Development Programme and Foundation for International Human Rights Reporting Standards (FIHRRST).
Riswan Riswan is a specialist in sustainable agriculture and community empowerment, with a strong background in environmental advocacy and grassroots organizing. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Mataram and a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Gunung Rinjani. With over a decade of experience working with farmers and rural communities in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Riswan has been actively involved in supporting community-managed land initiatives, sustainable farming practices, and environmental justice. He has served as an advocacy staff member at WALHI NTB (Indonesian Forum for the Environment), and as a community organizer for various development and advocacy programs across Lombok, including initiatives to defend customary land rights and promote agroecological resilience. His expertise includes participatory rural appraisal, community-based natural resource management, and socio-political facilitation in sensitive ecological zones, including the Mandalika area and the Sembalun highlands. Riswan is also experienced in digital security for activists and has received extensive training in human rights, leadership, and environmental governance.
